Warhammer Online Test Server Update

Warhammer Online lead developer, Mark Jacobs, has also posted a teaser for patch 1.1 which is set to go live on the Public Test Servers today. These are just some of the highlights (I'll post patch notes when I have them).

Open RvR Influence System: WAR will now have additional incentives for world RvR. Now you've got three influence systems. Worry not. Options are good!

Easy Public Quests:
Sometimes it’s hard to get enough people together to complete a PQ (especially in the lower tiers), so Mythic has redesigned one PQ per chapter so that it can be completed by 1-3 people. If only it could revisit some of the interminably dull PQs in the mid tiers...

Chat Hyperlinking: Why wasn't this in release?

Armor Set Rebalance: The high tier armor sets were next to useless; this will make them a bit less useless (hopefully).

Main Assist: Making it just a little bit easier to help your group in battle.

Player Statue System: Nothing says “you’ve made it” more than having a statue with your name on it in the capital city of your realm. A great way to reward those gamers who play for 18 hours a day...

New Content: Whether it is new lairs, new quests, new loot drops, new PQ rewards and changes to items (such as cloaks), this patch is full of lots of new content additions to the game.

User Interface: Fixes, changes, and new additions to the user interface and API functionality. New additions to the chat system and graphic options incorporating features such as a chat channel flashing on activity, the ability to turn chat bubbles on/off, a gamma slider, and more.

Bug Fixes: Obligatory and much needed.

There, does that not seem like a good step in the right direction? Sadly, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and right now we've got a half cooked rhubarb pie on the table. Mythic developers had three years and a lengthy beta to get most of this stuff balanced, so who's betting it still won't be right after this patch?
